CONVERSATION Starter
A comic writer caused me to pause when they said they spoke two languages, and translated between the two: image and word. Think about the languages you use and translate that are not spoken word. What makes a language? Further how does a non verbal language translate an idea? And, what occurs when a hybrid of two or more of our "languages" meet? Discuss.
Creative Experiment
Pick one of your non-verbal languages. Play with separate pieces exploring tools of image - pattern, framing, repetition and juxtaposition one at a time. Add on. Play, discuss.
