Eating Disorders Treatment Center
The Eating Disorders Treatment Center was founded by Holly Finlay, MA, LPCC, CEDS in the summer of 2011 to expand the services she had been providing to the community with her private practice of nearly 20 years. We utilize a team approach to treatment through collaboration with your current providers, or by helping you to set up a team of providers to follow your medical needs. We have licensed therapists, dietitians, and psychiatrists on staff who specialize in treating eating disorders through individual therapy and in group treatment settings.
Lauren Drake
With a background in dance and a decade in the field of bodywork, I have a constantly ever-evolving working relationship to deep somatic inquiry. My working knowledge of movement and anatomy comes from an embodied place of understanding what it is to be a dancer. The work I do seeks to address both the "hardware" of the physical body and the "software" of the nervous system and the energy field around the body. The manual and energetic forms I employ have been crucial to my own physical alignment and personal evolution, and I am constantly thinking about how helpful they would have been for me when I was a young dancer.
Luz Guillen
La Luz Body Align uses the Pilates method to help an individual obtain control, concentration, centering, flow, precision and breath. As dancers, we tend to become imbalanced in our bodies by the consistent repetitive motions and habit patterns we create in our daily lives. Pilates helps bring balance in body, mind, and spirit, through resistant forces to strengthen and stretch the body to create ease and efficiency in all movement.
Dr. Arlianne Scott
"With a PT like Dr. Scott, I could speak in dance terminology, receive dance specific exercises, and was shown empathy towards the lifestyle of a performer. Having the experience of a PT who specializes in performance arts was a valuable and necessary experience. That level of understanding is what sets her therapy apart from others. I highly recommend all performance artists to work with Dr. Scott! It is rare to receive such specialized care in our industry and I am lucky to know such a fantastic physical therapist!"
Bhanu Joy Harrison
"While Bhanu is slowly retiring from her mental health therapy practice, she is actively teaching her special brand of body-centered mindfulness. She is the BEST teacher and even offers special workshops that focus on things like negative emotions, chronic pain, etc. She taught an anxiety workshop for my dance students. It was very helpful."
Bianca Starr
"Bianca offers technique remediation/intervention for professional and professional track dancers. When dancing hurts, it usually shouldn't. Antiquated pedagogy can result in griping and straining. Alignment adjustments, technique changes, and strength/mobility tests and interventions can make the dancer not only more comfortable, but also better at their dancing/expression. Plant-focused nutritional coaching also available."
Julieann Neely
"Julieann has over three decades of experience in Pilates, Gyrotonic, etc. and blends methods to adapt in what she sees in her clients. She is a genius when it comes to helping people with pelvic floor and spinal issues. Highly recommended."
"I love working with dancers of all sorts - I am a ballroom dancer myself! Also note I am doing both in studio and Zoom appointments at this time, with great success doing the virtual lessons. " - Julieann
Dr. Marrich
"Physical therapist Specializing in infant and toddler development, assessment and intervention. Birth to 3 years old. I can also provide physical therapy sessions for adults as well, providing guided movement, stretching ”
Elizabeth Lonergan
"Most comprehensive care with the biggest knowledge base to get you back to a healthy place. Plus she’s incredibly personable and engaged in you as a person."
"Dance specialist!"
Langford Physical Therapy
"I love that they do all the work themselves (instead of handing you off to an assistant.) They understand the difference between athletes/dancers and the general population and the different approaches necessary. They beg, borrow, and steal from all types of modalities and encourage their PTs and ATs to keep learning. I also love that they look at the whole body, up and down the kinematic chain, rather than stupidly trying to isolate one body part for treatment."
Britta Heermann-Wynne
"Britta is a super talented practitioner, yes I know, she’s my wife, so don’t take my word, schedule a lesson with her. Britta and I were both professional dancers in Europe for a few decades. Feldenkrais was the only modality that kept us dancing as we aged. You definitely won’t regret it."
Cory Gaeth
"Cory has been doing massage for two decades and has done a LOT of continuing education. He has a phenomenal ability to assess the patient and blend massage modalities to suit the need. He really cares and has tremendous insight. Side note: he sometimes doesn't return calls, so just bug him till you get an appointment - lol!"
Miles Firkins
"As a lifelong mover and explorer of all things somatic, Miles has a keen intuition and expert ability to guide others into greater awareness and embodiment, while improving functionality and reducing pain!"
Elyse Fahey
"Elyse is an elite, professional dancer herself and has personal experience that is applicable in her practice. She has a well-honed eye for detecting and resolving misalignment, fascia, muscular, and structural issues of all kinds."
