Complaints. Realignment. How often do you find yourself in a complaint spiral about a situation or a person only to get a jolt of reality to make you realize your complaints are a privilege, a luxury, don't rank in the scheme of things? Can we recognize this without the jolt and shed the associated negative energy? Share and review your experience and insight

  • Music: The NM Philharmonic brings 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone' to Popejoy Hall Friday and Saturday. https://nmphil.org/ 

  • Book inspirations: Bookworks, 4022 Rio Grande Blvd NW, hosts three author readings this month; 

    • Tues. Sept 12, 6pm "Narcas: The Secret Rise of Women in Latin America's Cartels" will be discussed by author Deborah Bonello.

    • Saturday Sept 16th, 6pm Matthew Binder will read from his new satire "Pure Cosmos Club" taking aim at pretensions of haute art and fashion.

    • Also Saturday Sept 16th at 6pm, James Reich will read from his novel "The Moth for the Star" described as "a gripping metaphysical mystery of Depression-era New York.

  • Music: New Mexico Jazz Workshop continues to bring world-class players to local venues. Next up locally, Spanish Harlem Orchestra at the Albuquerque Museum Amphitheater Sept. 18th.
