Keshet New Work Premiere - Hevel
Keshet’s Director of Programming and Engagement, Ana Lopes Aréchiga, is premiering her newest choreographic work, Hevel. Performed by the Keshet Dance Company and using the Hebrew word for steam, vapor, futility, folly, emptiness, vanity as the title, Hevel is an exploration on patience, honoring the concept of time as a human creation used to define our existence.
The Company dancers are joined by four upper-level pre-professional students from Keshet’s KP3 Program who have had the unique opportunity to embark upon this creative process with Keshet’s professional dance artists.
Hevel marks the second new full-length company choreographic work from Keshet this year. The Company’s return to an in-person performance season has been supported by multiple local and national funders, including New Mexico Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts. As always, Keshet performance tickets are offered at a sliding scale ranging from $0 to full price, to ensure access for all who wish to experience live performance at the Keshet Center for the Arts.
When: November 18th and 19th, 6:30 - 8:00pm
Where: Keshet Center for the Arts
