Winter Solstice Yoga

This 90-minute Hatha Yoga class is a celebration of the return of the light and the deep nourishment of the dark. We will use asana, kriya, pranayama and meditation to align mind body to the natural rhythms of the sun and moon within and out. We will practice holding the opposites at once to embody our own vastness. This practice is intended to help us feel just how much space there is for the entire spectrum to exist within us, around us, and between us.

All levels welcome.

December 21st 8am  on Zoom. $5-$15 sliding scale.

Dustin Maxwell is a 500-hour experienced, registered yoga teacher (ERYT 500). He has been teaching yoga since 2010. He is also a dancer, Thai yoga bodyworker, meditator, and self-described philosopher. All these things fluidly and intuitively make their way into his hatha yoga classes while at the same time honoring the ancient practice of union (yoga) through asana, pranayama, and meditation. His classes are breath-centric and accessible but challenging. His primary intentions are to help people step fully into their bodies with unconditional friendliness, to know themselves fearlessly and to cultivate witness consciousness – the unbiased and benevolent inner observer. He has studied with awakened teachers from all over the country. In honor of his teachers and of the Teacher in All Things, he is grateful for the opportunity to guide others toward freedom and fulfilment.
