Conversation Starter

Chaos and order. Conceiving form. Process vs performance. Some of us thrive in the chaos during development of a project. Others of us thrive on the order in the shaped result. Where do you find the most growth in the cycle of art making, before, during, or after the project ends?

Exploratory

Connect a series of movements without counts. Then, in several exercises, force counts onto the movement, paying attention to the choices you make. Try again changing those choices. Try it a few times moving the pauses, speeding up and combining several moves quickly. Emphasize only the even counts. Only the odd. Play until you like the shape of it.
