The ladder of success? Only up? How limiting. Imagine if you could only dance in one direction. Discuss other metaphors to describe a flexible life path or description of progress.
Exploratory
Make a movement phrase. Tape off or visualize a narrow path across a room. Begin moving with your movement phrase without leaving the narrow path you have defined. Confine yourself and explore all the ways you want to use the path. Explore leaving the path. Make a list of words referring to directionality and steady states. Select a random assortment to create a movement phrase. Discuss.
