Thoughts and Ideas 11/7

CONVERSATION Starter

Finishing the story. Have you ever finished someone else's sentence incorrectly, in the absence of information made up a story to explain a situation which turned out to be false, assigned intention to someone's words or expression, and then been surprised to have misunderstood? Discuss when and why this happens and the results you have experienced. Consider whether presently you are holding a self created and false second half to a story. Will you seek the truth?

Exploratory

Create a movement sequence with an intention that you keep to yourself. Ideas can include relaying information, arriving at a destination, achieving a certain ..., etc. Show half of your sequence to a partner. Partners complete the movement sequence with what they imagine to be your intention. Show each other the completed movements. Discuss. If you used music, try it again without, or without letting the partner hear the music first. If you did not use music, try the exercise with music. Discuss whether there was a difference.
