Thoughts and Ideas 9/5

Juggling life. How do you manage when overloaded with "to-do"? Or when one big task overshadows all the others? Talk to each other about the symptoms of the struggle, about successful strategies to deal with too much, and how you survived when you dropped the ball in the past.
Creative Experiment
Make a list of metaphors for being overloaded with too much on your mind. i.e. juggling too much, my basket is full, straw that broke the camel's back... invent verbal and physical metaphors of your own. Pick one. Play with it. Improv with the idea of the load, with the symptoms. Think in terms of 'Tragicomedy'. Make a story. Use any number of your tools including facial expression, repetition, gesture, body language, word or sound, to develop a short choreography based on becoming overloaded. Afterward, envision an ending you would like to portray; resolution, strategy, solution, madness, collapse, time moves on, etc. Follow the same steps. Create metaphors, play with one, improv. Take the best elements of both exercises and put them together ... well, unless this is one task too many!
