Thoughts and Ideas 8/29
Converstation Starter
The Creative Chain. Where did your idea begin? Did you create something that didn't meet your expectation? Could that be your starting place or a step in the chain? Did someone say something that stuck? Talk about your creative chain, or interview an artist or choreographer you know and ask about how a specific work developed.
Exploratory
What keeps you up at night? What thought or issue keeps reentering your head? Take this thought and try to reduce it to the universal struggle or need it entails. Create a short movement metaphor based on this universal or your personal topic. Dance it. Repeat it. Vary it's timing. Reverse it. Rearrange it. Did "it" become something else? Did it become the new thing that keeps you up at night? Oops.
