Spring 2020 Student Concert, UNM Dance Program

This is the Spring 2020 Concert from the UNM Dance Program. It premiered on May 1, 2020.

We are approaching a full year since this pandemic "began" (depending on where you define the start, maybe it has been more than a full year already). It has been both extraordinarily difficult as well as an opportunity to share the art of dance in an entirely new and different way.

Something I personally have missed most about watching performances is at the end of a piece/show - the applause from the audience thanking the performers, and the reciprocal bows of the performers to thank their audience. The shared experience and energy of being in the same space, at the same time, and watching the movement in real time is distinct to in-person connection.

What have you missed most about live performances? What have you enjoyed about the new ways dance has been shared throughout this past year?
