Introduction to Action Theater

Dear Fellow Improvisors! Mindy Grossberg is offering an Action Theater FUNDAMENTALS class for people who want to start from the ground up! It is also an opportunity for others to deepen their own skills while grounding themselves, once again, in the building blocks of physical improvisation. The classes will explore some of the following:

  • What it’s like to fully inhabit our bodies and make magical improvisations without saying a word.

  • Playing with sound, exploring the range of our vocal options in playful and challenging ways.

  • Working with the spoken word, how to build a narrative without “thinking it through” and how can we use our bodies and imaginations to support us.

  • Working with others in duets or trios, or on your own- all in the spirit of learning/connectivity and fun!
