Good Baila 2020, a Message From Maple Street Dance Space

With deep gratitude to Mayor Tim Keller, ONE Albuquerque, and Shelle Sanchez, Director of the City of Albuquerque's Arts and Cultural Services, I am honored and so happy to present Good Baile 2020, a diverse collection of over 30 dancers, ringing in the New Year the way we do best: by DANCING, at Maple Street Dance Space!

With an invitation to get into the studio, and back onto the dance floor, these dancers came in over the course of two weeks, for an informal recording of their movement: their pure JOY in Movement, to songs and in styles, of their choice.  Strung together for a playful evening of entertainment and inspiration, this "dance party" is a series of those recordings, some of which offer choreographies we are invited to follow, and others that may stop us in our tracks!

Through this project and so many others, Albuquerque's current leadership team continues to show its true commitment to their collective vision for tangible, meaningful support of our local, creative arts economy, and the actual artists and business owners like me, who live and work within it!

THANK YOU!
