Artist Spotlight: Sadie Adair
Presenting our second artist in the ADC Artist Spotlight series - Sadie Adair!
ABQ Dance Connect started an Artist Spotlight Series to feature dancers, movers, and creators in Albuquerque. This series is aimed to introduce and connect artists to their ABQ community. If you are interested in being a part of this series, please email info@abqdanceconnect.org or DM ABQ Dance Connect for more information.
Sadie Adair is the owner of Sirena Studio in Albuquerque (founded 2016) and a director of Desert Darlings Belly Dance. She took her first belly dance class at age 13 and immediately fell in love, although she never guessed it would lead to a career in dance. She has a BA in Cinematic Arts from UNM and enjoys bringing storytelling to her dancing, whether that’s through a theatrical stage production or a short film. Sadie studies, performs, and teaches belly dance (Raqs Sharqi) because it truly is for everybody. All genders, ages, shapes and sizes should dance if they want to, and she is excited to keep sharing this beautiful art form with as many people as she can.
