Thoughts and Ideas 10/4/21

Musing

A-Z. Trying to sleep one night I traced the alphabet with my eye movement behind closed lids. Sleep failed, thoughts prevailed. Could I trace the same paths with each body part? How internal could I take the impulse? How small and large could I make movement? Would, could the impulse of a single letter generate associations and become the catalyst for a new work?

Creative Experiment

Play with a letter, play with a word, through movement. Play with letters drawing in the dirt, laying on the ground, drawing on your skin. Play with letters or a word with your voice. What about the musical equivalents? Cut out letters and words, make a pattern, a mosaic, a structure. Return to the beginning again and see where it goes.
