Thoughts and Ideas 11/1/21
Musing
Harmony/Disharmony. Have you ever experienced a conversation, dance class, or performance where something said, asked for, or seen, jars a formerly harmonious chord in your being? What is that? How is it useful? How do you respond or engage? Do you engage? Discuss.
Creative Experiment
a movement phrase that . . . feels wrong!, that doesn't satisfy you, that creates disharmony in your being! Put it to music that feels like a mismatch if it helps. TEACH IT with no discussion or admission. Observe and allow the disharmony for a period of time. Then let everyone work together and see if the group can find a harmonious solution. Discuss what took place and various reactions. (Perhaps this exercise is an example of something that jars your harmonious chord!)
