Conversation Starter
Pedagogy. In ballet there are a variety of known pedagogies and training to teach those methods. Yet in both ballet and most other genres of dance, teacher training isn't a given for teaching, and in many forms doesn't specifically exist. To be sure, there is excellent teaching without specific teacher training found in every genre, but there are also many unsafe and poor teaching practices. What are your thoughts in your genre about this subject? Are there cultural differences and considerations that replace the idea of 'teacher training'? If you were to design a training, a certification, what would you consider of primary importance? Do you feel certification is a bonus or a barrier? Why? How is a family or student to know if they are receiving qualified instruction?

Variations on a theme. You have an idea, small or large. Change it ten ways. Change it 50 ways. When you get to the point where you are stuck, you have reached the most important part of your creativity. Keep at it.

Through holiday lights: Route 66 Shop & Glow will light up Central from 5-9 nightly in Nob hill with 19 restaurants offering carryout and pickup and 16 retail shops with gifts to purchase. The old town Christmas tree turned its lights on earlier this month, try a stroll there. For drive through events, Sandia Speedway has one mile of track adorned with lights in its first 'Lights of Enchantment' to enjoy from the comfort of a drive through.
