Advocacy Updates

The ADC Dancer Healthcare Resource List continues to grow on our website. Is your favorite there? Please continue to advocate for our dance community by adding the people you have most successfully worked with at this form

ADC is interfacing with a project called' NM Creatives Community Dialogue and Action'. This consortium of organizations and individuals are seeking to ascertain your needs and those of other creatives in the state to help shape programming and find resources in the future. We believe participation could be mutually beneficial to you. If you would like further information, or to provide feedback on your needs, or to participate in the project, email newmexicocreatives@gmail.com

Musing

Projection. Imagine unscheduled performance projected on walls and billboards; imagine sharing a rehearsal through a virtual projection in an assisted senior facility and discussing your project with a set of elders who have little outside interaction, over a projected Zoom.

Remedy

Loneliness, feeling helpless to help.

What do you do when feeling alone? Reach out. Look outward. Join in with others.

What do you do when feeling helpless? Help another.

Combine those two thoughts. In the smallest terms that means find one person to reach out and find out what they need or offer something of yourself. In larger terms it means finding a community where you can offer your talents, your art, a service or simply a plate of cookies. 1x, short term, ongoing? All is in your control. All you need is to decide who or where to reach out, what to offer, and how to provide it. Action brings back control.

Recharge your power center. Why not use the list-serv to see who might share your interests?
