Musing

Perception vs Reality. Have you ever received half the story, made up the rest, just to find out your perception was 180degrees off? How about jumping to a conclusion about someone based on an expression only to find out they simply had indigestion? And what about history, we learn only one perspective of history and miss out on the reality lived. Reach out and ask another person about your assumptions. See where you and your conversation partner have room to expand your perspectives.

Creative Experiment

Gesture. Take a gesture from an activity of daily life. Translate it into dance. Now, see how many ways you can perform this movement to relay different meanings, diametrically opposed meanings, angst, self consciousness, comedy, joy, sadness. Explore alone. Explore together.

Quote: “And those who were seen dancing, were thought to be crazy, by those who could not hear the music.” ― Friedrich Nietzsche
