Thoughts and Ideas

Musing

What if? Have you ever watched a tv show where the audio and action were out of sync? Have you felt aggravation with the lag between your audio and your collaborators audio or between movement and the music in virtual space or suffered those frozen frames but the voice keeps going? What if you used these observances as a generator of ideas to explore abstract ideas of time, timing, synchronicity, expectations, predictions in thought and with movement? What if the abstract ideas became less abstract and shed light on current events or a story of interest?

Creative Experiment

Marry a movement phrase to a piece of music with full dynamic range and interesting timing. Repeat it 4x. Intentionally dance ahead of or behind your music for at least one full phrase. Evaluate and experiment. How did it make you feel? How can you work and explore further?

Quote: "I am open to the guidance of synchronicity, and do not let expectations hinder my path." Dalai Lama
