Regional Dance America Southwest

Festival Ballet Albuquerque will be hosting the Regional Dance America Southwest annual Festival at the Albuquerque Convention April 9-11, 2026. Eighteen member companies from Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas will travel to NM for a 3-day workshop with national and international dance artists. Each evening there will be a repertory concert at the Kiva Auditorium of works presented by the 18 companies. Each evening is a different repertory showcase. Tickets are only available one hour before the performances on the day of the shows.

Several local pianists have been selected to accompany the many ballet classes during the 3-day festival. They will be playing live this week at Dance Theatre Southwest (3805 Academy Parkway South NE) and all are invited to attend for a $15 drop in fee. The classes with live accompaniment will be:

• Monday March 16th at 5:15: Intermediate Ballet
• Tuesday, March 17th at 10:15: Mature Adult Ballet
• Tuesday March 17th at 5:30: Advanced Ballet
• Wednesday March 18th at 6:45: Intermediate Adult
• Thursday March 19th at 10:00: Mature Adult
• Thursday March 19th at 5:15: Advanced Ballet
• Saturday March 21st at 11:00am: Mixed Level Intermediate and Advanced Ballet
