Invite Failure, The Society of Laughter

Invite Failure is an open, experimental workshop for anyone who wants to let go of familiar ways and explore creativity through the body. Drawing from Jeanine Durning’s Nonstopping practice, we’ll work with simple prompts that move us out of overthinking and into sensation, impulse, and play.

We’ll treat failure as a tool, not a mistake. Instead of choreographing or composing, we’ll observe what’s already happening, paying attention to how decisions emerge moment by moment.

Performance, for me, is a way of mirroring life. When we include everything, awkwardness, humor, vulnerability, we expand how we witness ourselves and each other. What we practice becomes something we carry into daily life. How you do anything is how you do everything.
